Rimowa's latest brainchild, The Original Bag, is here to shake up the handbag scene. Imagine your suitcase had a baby with a luxury purse, and voilà, you get this grooved aluminum marvel. It's unisex, timeless, and designed for the urban jungle—perfect for zipping around on subways, electric bikes, or Ubers.

Rimowa's CEO, Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert, calls it the brand's biggest launch of the year, and it's easy to see why. This bag isn't just a pretty face; it's functional, with a one-finger button mechanism and versatile carrying options.

Dropping in silver and black for a cool 1,750 euros, The Original Bag is already making waves. Rimowa's campaign features on-the-move creatives like model Liu Wen and rapper Central Cee, proving this bag is as stylish as it is practical. The company has been dabbling in bags since the pandemic, but this aluminum beauty is their pièce de résistance. It's a nod to their iconic suitcases but miniaturized and optimized for today's fast-paced lifestyle.

Rimowa's engineers had their work cut out for them, miniaturizing suitcase tech into a handbag. The result? A disruptive design that's as at home in a cocktail party as it is on a subway. Bonnet-Masimbert wanted a bag that transcends traditional categories, and it looks like they've nailed it. With a handcrafted leather handle, leather-lined interior, and slots for credit cards, this bag is as functional as it is fashionable.
